Danielle Sassoon resigned Thursday as the acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York after refusing to drop corruption charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams, NBC News reported.
A day earlier, she wrote a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi with her concerns about the Justice Department’s order to drop the case against Adams.
