* Project Lincoln, led by anti-Trump Republicans, wasted little time in crafting a minute-long video on Saturday on a burgeoning controversy: Russia’s reported efforts to put a bounty on the heads of American troops serving in Afghanistan. “How can Trump lead America when he can’t even defend it?” Project Lincoln asks.
* On a related note, VoteVets.org released a 30-second video of its own on the same controversy, which hits Donald Trump even harder.
* The latest PBS NewsHour/NPR/Marist poll, released late last week, found the president with a 40% approval rating, and a 58% disapproval rating. The latter is the worst of Trump’s term so far.
