* As Kamala Harris continues to flesh out an ambitious policy agenda, the Democratic vice president’s newest plan focuses on expanding Medicare to cover the cost of long-term care at home.
* Harris’ running mate, Tim Walz, spent some time during his latest rally in Nevada talking about new allegations surrounding Donald Trump and Russia’s Vladimir Putin. “Can we all just agree, this is the kind of stuff that would have ended political careers before they started?” the Minnesota governor asked.

* In Arizona, the latest AARP poll found Donald Trump narrowly leading Harris, 49% to 47%. (Click the link for additional information on the survey’s methodology and margins of error.)
* On a related note, the same AARP poll on Arizona’s closely watched U.S. Senate race found Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego leading failed Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, 51% to 44%. (Click the link for additional information on the survey’s methodology and margins of error.)
* At GOP vice presidential nominee JD Vance’s latest event in Michigan, a Detroit News reporter spoke to several people wearing “Auto Workers for Trump” shirts at the rally. Some admitted, however, that they were not actually autoworkers. * With time running out in the 2024 election cycle, the Trump campaign is starting to go after Harris with anti-trans ads that will air during football games. * As the GOP’s anxieties about Nebraska’s U.S. Senate race intensify, a Republican super PAC with ties to a powerful Nebraska family is launching new attack ads targeting independent Dan Osborn. Recent polls suggest the union leader is competitive with the incumbent, Republican Sen. Deb Fischer. * And VoteVets, a progressive veterans group, has begun a $10 million ad campaign designed to boost Harris and several down-ballot Democratic candidates.
