* As Democrats spend the week arguing that Donald Trump is a petulant child, unprepared for serious leadership, the president will try to troll Joe Biden today by campaigning near Scranton, Pennsylvania, where the former vice president was born.
* White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany wouldn’t say yesterday whether Trump would accept the results of his own country’s presidential election. There was a time at which this would’ve caused a political earthquake. Now, it barely made news as a routine Wednesday development.
* The Trump campaign is launching new digital advertisements today attacking one of Joe Biden’s adult children.
* Former Rep. Charlie Dent (R-Pa.), a lifelong Republican, yesterday became latest prominent GOP voice to announce his support for Biden’s candidacy.
* Despite a desperate attempt from the Montana Republican Party to get Green Party candidates onto the state’s general-election ballot, the Montana Supreme Court yesterday rejected the GOP effort. * According to the findings of the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University, this year’s elections will feature “a record-breaking number of congressional races in which two women candidates will face one another.” Though the primary season isn’t quite over, we’re on track to see 38 woman-versus-woman congressional contests this year, up from 33 two years ago. * And the Wisconsin Elections Commission has concluded that Kanye West should not be on the state’s presidential ballot this year, after Republican operatives narrowly failed to submit the necessary paperwork before Wisconsin’s legal deadline.
