Months ago, I needed to schedule a dental procedure, so I chose what seemed like the best possible time: late on a Friday afternoon, the day before a four-day holiday weekend. It’s bound to be a slow time in the news, right?
Needless to say, this week’s developments — like today’s and tonight’s developments — were difficult to predict, but I couldn’t cancel my appointment. All of which is to say, the procedure is done, but I’m not yet in a position to jump back in.
I may try to get some work done in the morning, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to. I guess we’ll have to play it by ear. Watch this space.
