Michelle Obama isn’t the only famous “Michelle” on her trip to Japan. Joining the first lady will be beauty guru and Youtube star Michelle Phan, who is accompanying Obama as she takes the White House’s Let Girls Learn initiative to Tokyo.

Obama, who arrived in the Japanese capital on Wednesday, is raising global awareness for the importance of girls’ education and encouraging countries around the world to join together to address the education crisis. According to the White House, 62 million girls around the world are currently not in school.
Phan’s addition to the first lady’s trip is part of the White House’s efforts to reach out to young people through social networks and sites like YouTube. In January, President Obama sat down with three YouTube stars for wide-ranging interviews about politics, race, and education.
