President Barack Obama headlines the first new episode of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” Jerry Seinfeld’s popular webseries that debuted its seventh season on Wednesday, because, according to the legendary comic, he’s “gotten off just enough funny lines to qualify for getting on this show.”
In perhaps his least formal interview to date, the president hangs out with Seinfeld in and around the grounds of the White House, while cruising around in a sleek 1963 Corvette Stingray.
“I always wanted to be in a show about nothing and here I am,” jokes Obama, who regularly has Seinfeld in stitches with his reflections on the trappings of the presidency, his workout routine (he elects to shave before exercising in the morning), and which commander-in-chief he admires the most.

“Teddy Roosevelt is a cool character,” Obama concedes. “He may be the one who would be the most fun to hang out with.”
In the roughly 19-minute segment, the president largely avoids any serious discussion of policy, although he does make an earnest pitch for Obamacare. “Please try Obamacare today,” Seinfeld says to the camera with a facetious smile.

Among the other highlights of the interview include:
His guilty pleasure food of choice: Nachos. Obama claims they often have to be taken away from him because, otherwise, he’d have “guacamole coming out of his eyeballs.”
What sport he believes politics is most like: “It’s probably the most like football — a lot of players, a lot of specialization, a lot of hitting, a lot of attrition, but every once in a while you’ll see an opening.”
