Let me start with the stories the Hardball Staff is talking about.
RAND PAUL ON THE ATTACK:
Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul goes on the attack against his own party, blaming Republican hawks for the growth of ISIS in the Middle East.
“Right now there are 1,500 groups, many of them bad people, including ISIS, that hawks in our party have been arming,” Paul said on “Morning Joe”. “ISIS exists and grew stronger because of the hawks in our party, who gave arms indiscriminately, and most of those arms were snatched up by ISIS.”
The Kentucky senator also appeared on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”, where he went toe-to-toe with the host over same-sex marriage and the Patriot Act, which he filibustered against last week.
Don’t miss Senator Rand Paul on “Hardball with Chris Matthews” Friday at 7pm/et.
ALL ABOUT THE LADIES IN SOUTH CAROLINA:
Hillary Clinton makes her first visit to South Carolina since the 2008 election, where she lost the primary to Barack Obama by nearly 30 points. You may remember some controversy surrounding Bill Clinton during that primary, with most of the talk centering around some comments he made that were perceived to be racially tinged.
