Friday night on All In with Chris Hayes: the cost of college has skyrocketed and President Obama is pushing for a major overhaul of the higher education system. At a town hall at Binghamton University Friday, the President answered questions from students and talked about making college more affordable thorough measures such as cheaper loans and more financial aid. Matt Taibbi, Contributing Editor for Rolling Stone, will join Chris Hayes to talk about the crisis of student loan debt and what we can do about it.
Chris Hayes will also talk with Ed Rensi, founder and wwner of Tom & Eddie’s Gourmet Burgers and Shakes and former President and CEO of McDonald’s, about the fight over raising the minimum wage. Fast-food workers have been striking nationwide this summer to protest their low pay.
Later, Chris Hayes will explain how Russian LGBT activist Masha Gessen convinced him that boycotts are an effective way to fight back against Russia’s anti-gay laws.
