Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested Monday in New York City based on an indictment filed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
That indictment, unsealed Tuesday morning, outlined three federal charges against the rap star: racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Combs “abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct,” prosecutors wrote in their indictment.
In a statement following Combs’ arrest on Monday, his attorney Marc Agnifilo called Combs “an innocent man with nothing to hide.”
Combs has been accused in recent months of sexual assault and misconduct, including by his ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura, a singer best known by her stage name, Cassie.
