George Zimmerman’s new lawyer, Mark O’Mara, extended his condolences to Trayvon Martin’s family during an exclusive interview with msnbc’s Lawrence O’Donnell.
“It was horrible what they now have to live through. However it occurred, it’s extraordinarily sad — you should never lose a child for any reason,” he said, wiping a tear away from his eye.
At a press conference Wednesday, special prosecutor Angela Corey announced a second-degree murder charge against Zimmerman in thekilling of the unarmed African American teenager.
While politely refusing to discuss details in the defense of Trayvon Martin’s killer, O’Mara suggested Zimmerman’s previous legal team may have hurt the defense.
