During a Tuesday morning news conference, President Obama responded forcefully to a question about whether he had enough “juice” to advance his agenda in his second term, after a major gun bill was defeated in the Senate earlier this month. Adding that he has to find a middle ground with a “dysfunctional” Congress, the president said he couldn’t force lawmakers from the other side of the aisle to cooperate if they are unable to. “It’s not my job to get [Congress] to behave. That’s their job.”
