What sex scandal? A new poll from Quinnipiac University suggests New Yorkers are willing to fuggedabout it, at least when it comes to disgraced former Gov. Eliot Spitzer.
Spitzer has 19-point advantage in the race for New York City comptroller against Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, 56% to 37%, among likely Democratic primary voters.
Spitzer’s leads among men, 58% to 37%, and among women, 54% to 36%. He’s also a major frontrunner with black voters, 68% to 21%. Though among white voters, Stringer leads 53% to 43%.
With less than four weeks to go until the primary, the vast majority of those surveyed say they’ve made up their minds and plan to vote for their current candidate of choice.
