“We will never have the elite, smart people on our side,” Rick Santorum said at the Voter Values Summit this weekend. “Because they believe they should have the power to tell you what to do.”
Santorum was just one of many prominent Republicans—including vice-presidential nominee Rep. Paul Ryan—to speak at the summit. Put on by the Family Research Council (FRC)—alongside a sponsors list that reads like the who’s who of intolerant organization—the Voter Values Summit centered on uber-conservative social issues.
Gary Bauer, a former FRC president, also spoke, suggesting that urban areas are rife with voter fraud.
