As we reported earlier, Ed has been off TV and radio for the past week dealing with a major health issue that has struck his wife, Wendy.
Ed spoke about it publicly for the first time on his radio show today, confirming that she is battling ovarian cancer.
We’ve seen a tremendous outpouring of support and good wishes on social media (including Facebook and Twitter), which Ed said “deeply touched” Wendy.
“The prayer warriors across of America who have just gotten into this and gotten behind her and her family, we can’t thank everybody enough,” said Ed.
Here’s a sample of the tweets we’ve seen in support of Ed, Wendy and their family:
My friend Ed Schultz is speaking up about Wendy’s ovarian cancer. Wendy and Ed are a team and we want them to beat this together! @WeGotED
