President Barack Obama has endured dozens of crazy conspiracy theories during his first term. First, he was going to take our guns away. Then, he’s a socialist, he was born in Kenya, he’s a Muslim, he only got into Harvard because of affirmative action, and on and on. Just look at this amazing chart of all the Obama conspiracy theories put together by Mother Jones:
Obama was decisively re-elected just 23 days ago, but the conspiracy theories just keep coming. First, investment adviser Porter Stansberry warned that Obama was planning to seek a third term, even though that is prohibited by the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. And then came this doozy from Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Tx.: the Obama administration has actively aided al-Qaida and follows the advice of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Here’s what Gohmert said on Frank Gaffney’s anti-Muslim radio program this week at the end of an answer to a question about the recent cease-fire between Israel and Hamas:
What was all the rage a year and a half ago? It was the Arab Spring and how wonderful it was! And this administration really embraced blowing out Mubarak – yes, do it up by all means – getting rid of Qaddafi. It wasn’t enough to send verbal accolades, this administration sent planes and bombs and support to oust Qaddafi so that al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood could take over Libya.
So let’s get this straight: President Obama, who authorized the killing of Osama bin Laden (along with many other top al-Qaida leaders) got rid of Gadhafi so he could clear the way for an al-Qaida takeover of North African country?
