On Monday a massive tornado ripped through parts of Oklahoma, killing dozens and laying waste to whole neighborhoods in Moore, Okla. The deadly tornado grabbed the attention of thousands across the nation who sent love and support through tweets to those affected by the horrendous natural disaster.
Athletes from a variety of divisions, especially players and coaches with direct ties to the area, expressed their condolences and offered up prayers for the victims.

In addition to his tweet of prayer, The Kevin Durant Family Foundation pledged $1 million for Red Cross Relief Efforts, the Red Cross confirmed on Tuesday. “The Red Cross relies on its donors to perform its mission in relieving human suffering following disasters,” said Janienne Bella, regional CEO in a statement. “Mr. Durant’s gift and support to Oklahoma comes at a time of great need and we’re forever thankful for his generosity.”
