Is America too active in world affairs? According to a new poll, the answer is yes.
A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll shows 47% of voters say America should be less active in world affairs, while 30% think the U.S. should remain at its current level of involvement. Just 19% want to see America become more involved in the international world.
These new numbers represent a major change from after the 9/11 attacks when 37% of Americans though the country should be more active.
The reluctance of Americans to be involved in foreign affairs shouldn’t be a surprise as previous polling has shown Americans’ lack of desire to intervene in the recent Russia/Ukraine conflict.
