Today’s installment of campaign-related news items that won’t necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:
* Last month, a Quinnipiac poll that generated a lot of attention showed Mitt Romney leading President Obama in Florida by six points. Today, a new Quinnipiac poll that will generate less attention shows Obama leading Romney in Florida by four points.
* At the national level, a new Associated Press poll shows Obama ahead by three, 47% to 44%, while Public Policy Polling shows Obama up by four, 49% to 45%.
* In fundraising news, the RNC outraised the DNC in May; the DSCC outraised the NRSC in May; and Priorities USA Action, the pro-Obama super PAC, had its best fundraising month to date in May, but still only brought in $4 million.
* Samuel Wurzelbacher, aka “Joe the Plumber,” is a Republican congressional candidate in Ohio. This week, he released a new video claiming gun control led to the Holocaust. He’s not kidding.
