Starring on Fox Nation yesterday: “As of 3:40 p.m. ET, more than 25,000 Texans have already signed the petition on The White House website to let Texas peacefully secede from United States of America and “create its own NEW government.”
Civil War Two, anyone? Only “peacefully” this time? Citizens in 21 other states, pout-raged by President Obama’s re-election, are joining Texas in petitioning the government to go it alone. After all, “It is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union…”
To his credit, Texas Governor Rick Perry isn’t having it. His office released this statement:
“Gov. Perry believes in the greatness of our Union and nothing should be done to change it. But he also shares the frustrations many Americans have with our federal government. Now more than ever our country needs strong leadership from states like Texas.” Thank you, Governor. Because of leaders like you, the Union will survive — in all its petulant, immature glory.
