Republicans in the Missouri legislature announced in March that it would honor Rush Limbaugh, of all people, with a bronze bust at the state capitol, giving him a place in the Hall of Famous Missourians alongside the likes of Mark Twain, Harry Truman, and Walt Disney. Two weeks ago, in a private event inside the legislative chamber, Limbaugh accepted the honor, and delivered a speech in which he said Democrats “are deranged.”
Doors to the legislative chamber were, by the way, reportedly locked and guarded during Limbaugh’s appearance, and Democratic lawmakers were not welcome.
Two weeks later, there are apparently concerns about the safety of Limbaugh’s bronze head.
