Today’s installment of campaign-related news items that won’t necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:
* Over the last three months, Gov. Scott Walker (R) and his allies have outspent Democrats and their allies by more than a 3-to-1 margin. The gubernatorial recall election is a week from Tuesday.
* In Ohio, the latest NBC/Marist poll shows incumbent Sen. Sherrod Brown (D) leading Josh Mandel (R) by 14 points, 51% to 37%.
* In Virginia, NBC/Marist found former Gov. Tim Kaine (D) leading former Sen. George Allen (R) in this year’s closely-watched U.S. Senate race, 49% to 43%.
* In Florida, NBC/Marist also found Sen. Bill Nelson (D) leading Rep. Connie Mack IV (R), 46% to 42%.
