Today much of the The Rachel Maddow Show staff was walking around in T-shirts that say “Four Years Old, Nine Minutes Heavy.”
They symbolize both the fourth anniversary of the show—Woot! Woot!— and the fact that for nearly every night of our existence, we have approached 9pm with far more content than could ever fit in a one-hour newscast.
Sometimes the extra television we produce won’t hold for another day. The news within it has a definite sell-by date.
