Scott Brown may have just joined Fox News as a contributor, but that’s not stopping him from considering a run for Governor of Massachusetts in 2014, which he candidly told a local Boston reporter who said she’s confident he’ll run again,”If I were a betting woman, I would bet that he is going to run for something again.”
In an interview with the Boston affiliate MyFox25, Brown said he’s keeping all his options open. “I’m not going to be one of those ‘ooh I’m really not thinking about it.’ Of course I’m thinking about it. I’m thinking about a lot of different thing things,” he said. “But right now the best thing I can do for myself and for my peace of mind and I think for the people of Massachusetts is just to hang tight and recharge and be active.”
Many have speculated Brown’s decision not to run for John Kerry’s Senate seat indicated his plans to run for Governor. Current Governor Deval Patrick, a Democrat, could run again, but has said he will not seek a third term in 2014.
Brown also explained his decision not to run for John Kerry’s seat, saying he didn’t like the idea of running in the special election only to have to run again for the seat again in less than two years. although he believes he would have had “a really good chance” of winning it.
