1) It vs. electrified border fences
Rep. Steve King: “We could also electrify this wire (on the border) with the kind of current that would not kill somebody, but it would simply be a discouragement for them to be fooling around with it. We do that with livestock all the time.”
Stephen King, It: “Bill could smell Its breath and it was a smell like exploded animals lying on the highway at midnight.”
2) “Hauling marijuana” vs. The Shining
Rep. Steve King: “For every one who’s a valedictorian, there’s another 100 out there who weigh 130 pounds and they’ve got calves the size of cantaloupes because they’re hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert.”
Stephen King, The Shining: “Wendy? Darling? Light, of my life. I’m not gonna hurt ya. I’m just going to bash your brains in.”
3) “Inviting a deportable” vs. Needful Things
Rep. Steve King: “Obama perverts ‘prosecutorial discretion’ by inviting a deportable to sit in place of honor at #SOTU w/1st Lady.”
