Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said people are over-thinking House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s shocking loss this week in the Virginia GOP primary to represent the state’s 7th Congressional district.
“Those who are absolutely shocked that this could ever happen must not have their thumb on the pulse of what many Americans are thinking, and that is ‘the status quo has got to go,’” Palin said during an interview with Fox News on Wednesday.
Rep. Cantor resigned from his leadership less than 24 hours after his stunning loss in the Virginia GOP primary to tea party challenger David Brat on Tuesday night. He will hold his position until July 31.
