The wife of Trayvon Martin’s shooter has been charged with perjury, Reuters reports.
Shellie Zimmerman, 25, whose husband George Zimmerman shot and killed Martin, 17, in February, was arrested at her home Tuesday. Prosecutors allege she lied during her husband’s bond hearing.
George Zimmerman has been charged with second-degree murder in the case. He has said he acted in self-defense, and has pleaded not guilty.
