Democratic Rep. Al Green of Texas summed up the Republicans’ failure to lead on health care reform with a moment of silence Wednesday. (Video after the jump.)
“I hold in my right hand the replacement bill that my colleagues across the aisle have been talking about,” he yelled waving his empty hand on the House floor as Republicans and five Democrats voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act Wednesday.
“I shall now read the replacement bill in its entirety,” he said and then went silent, demonstrating that although House Republicans have decried the health care reform law passed by President Obama’s administration, they have failed to offer any replacements for it during the recent debate.
