Bernie Sanders now has his own flavor of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. Sort of.
Here’s the scoop: Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Ben Cohen revealed today that he’s churning up a new pint called “Bernie’s Yearning” to support the Vermont senator. Cohen only made 40 pints of the Sanders-inspired ice cream, and he’s holding a contest to give away 25 of them to the public.
“Nothing is so unstoppable as a flavor whose time has finally come,” Cohen writes.

But the ice cream is not affiliated with Ben & Jerry’s Homemade Inc. or the Sanders for President campaign, as noted on berniesyearning.com.
The mint ice cream is topped with a thick disk of solid chocolate. A picture of Sanders and the White House is featured on the front of the pint, with the instructions “Open Joyfully, Political Revolution Inside” below.
As Cohen described to MSNBC’s Kate Snow, there is a specific way to eat the ice cream.
