A month after the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Delaware Gov Jack Markell proposed a 5-part package of bills aimed at reducing gun violence. Universal background checks, the bill that has the best chance of passing, is expected to be debated on the legislature floor Thursday.
States are better reflecting the national opinion on gun control, Markell said on Wednesday’s Morning Joe.
“If you look nationally, there’s overwhelming public support for a number of these proposals—really common sense proposals—but many folks in Washington just don’t want to hear it.”
