Continued technical problems to the Obamacare sign-up are marring the roll-out of the president’s healthcare law and the Washington Post’s Ezra Klein said it appears to be more than a few bugs.
“The way this I.P. is going is a disaster, I really don’t think people should soft pedal what a bad launch this is. They’ve done a terrible job on this website,” Klein said on Monday’s Morning Joe. “We’re a couple of weeks in and people can’t sign up, people have tried 20, 30, 40 times, I mean it’s one thing for that to be true the first three or four days, it’s another thing for it to be true two or three weeks in.”
The New York Times reported that a researcher’s 40 attempts to sign up for coverage left her with a blank screen.
Klein added that there had been a “big traffic bottleneck, but behind that traffic bottleneck there’s now the worry that there are deeper more systemic problems.” Although sign up numbers have been better than expected, there have also been reports of sticker shock over the cost of the programs.
