While the boldface names of D.C. mixed it up with Hollywood stars and the who’s-who in journalism and media, Sarah Palin–like the rest of us–watched the the White House Correspondents’ dinner on television.
And based on her late-night Facebook post and tweet, it seems like the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential hopeful felt a little left out.
It started with this post on Facebook:
The “real joke” here, as The Washington Post pointed out, is that even though Palin–who has been invited on at least two occasions–has never attended the dinner, just two years ago she was ‘yuking’ it up at the 2011 Vanity Fair and msnbc after-parties.
Palin’s huband, Todd, and daughter, Bristol, have both attended the annual soiree, which makes the tweet she sent 10 minutes later even more ridiculous:
