The White House released video of Vice President Joe Biden charming a visitor last month who served in the U.S. Army. She also happens to be 108 years old…the oldest living female World War II veteran in the country.
Lucy Coffey witnessed the Vice President’s flirting skills first-hand when she visited the White House on July 25. Biden was deep in a conversation with Coffey when President Obama came in and stole his thunder…just a bit. The President gave Coffey a presidential coin before leaving, prompting Biden to turn up his skills to woo the lady of the hour.
“You know, but I’m the guy that loves you,” he crooned, causing the woman to break into laughter.
Coffey enlisted in 1943 and is the recipient of two Bronze Stars for her service in the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps. She was honorably discharged in 1945 and worked on a Texas Air Force base until her retirement in 1971. Watch the full video of her visit below.
