Ready for Hillary, the super PAC supporting a possible Hillary Clinton bid for the White House in 2016, hauled in more than $4 million dollars in donations in 2013, the group reported Tuesday. Ninety-eight percent of those donations were $100 or less, the group said in a statement, estimating its 33,000-member donor base to be “more contributors than all other presidential super PACs ever, combined.”
The PAC said it saw enthusiasm for another possible presidential campaign by the former Secretary of State pick up during the back half of 2013, with 25,000 new contributors joining its ranks in the last six months of the year.
The group reported its biggest online fundraising day ever on Jan. 5 after emailing supporters of Clinton’s 2008 campaign via an email distribution list rented by the ’08 campaign itself.
