Outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told Andrea Mitchell Tuesday that her recent health issues, including a blood clot located between her brain and her skull stemming from a concussion, has no bearing on her future political prospects.
Asked how her health would factor into a decision about whether she’ll run for president in 2016, Clinton told Mitchell:
“Well, it doesn’t factor in at all. I mean, you know that, I have no doubt that I am healthy enough and that my stamina is great enough and I’ll be fully recovered enough to do whatever I choose to do.”
Clinton made it clear that her next steps after leaving the State Department this Friday, political or otherwise, are undecided.
