1. On Tuesday, the stock market experienced a “flash crash”—a deep plunge in direct response to some wrong information it received from Twitter. Yes. Twitter. A really scary tweet was sent from The Associated Press’s Twitter: “Breaking: Two explosions in the White House and Barack Obama is injured.” It became evident pretty quickly that this was not true and that the AP’s Twitter account had been hacked. We were impressed by some of the ensuing snark:

2. AJ Clemente was a spankin’ new local weekend news anchor who made his television debut by cursing. Unfortunately—after the world’s shortest television anchor stint—he was fired. But scores of his supporters have started a Facebook campaign, “I Support AJ,” to get him his job back.
3. Remember the Mississippi Elvis impersonator accused of sending Ricin-laced letters to President Obama and Sen. Roger Wicker? Well there is a new development in that case: the charges have been dropped. Watch the “King” sing his version of “Don’t Be Cruel,” a song he should probably dedicate to the Feds.
