A White House staffer has been fired for writing an anonymous, insult-lobbing Beltway Twitter account.
The White House confirmed to NBC News that White House staffer Jofi Joseph is no longer employed as a senior National Security Council staffer. Joseph was recently outed the author of Twitter account @natsecwonk.
The account was well-known among Washington circles for its two-year-old, highly critical and insulting stream of commentary that attacked everyone from journalists to congressmen to White House officials–often below the belt.
Politico reports the Twitter feed often questioned the sexual orientation of South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, while mocking the weight or appearances of female politicians.
