For once, it doesn’t seem like hyperbole. Much of the world appeared to be coming undone this past week, thanks to international crises fomenting across the globe.
A new crisis in the West Bank outrage over the murder of three Israeli teens and one Palestinian teenager have brought tensions to a head in the conflict-prone region. Then there’s Iraq, where the Iraqi army continues to clash with ISIS forces and Prime Minister Nuri al-Malaki begins jockeying for another term as Iraq’s head of state. Meanwhile, three countries in West Africa are facing the worst Ebola crisis in recorded history.
Then host Melissa Harris-Perry, back from the Essence Festival, will discuss the continued fallout from the Supreme Court’s monumental decision in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby that has led to a new court decision on contraception coverage at religiously affiliated colleges, and another fierce dissent from the three women on the high court’s bench.
