Over the past month the Kid President has been in the news from talking to Beyonce about World Humanitarian Day to speaking at the 50th anniversary of the March On Washington to encourage everyone to “keep dreaming.“
In July 2012 Robby Novak made his debut on the SoulPancake YouTube channel with one mission to give kids a voice in politics. “We’re doing this because we believe kids can change the world,” Novak’s website says. Along with brother-in-law, Brad Montague, they have created a space within the social media world through their short videos that focus on political issues.
With the start of a new school year, the 10-year-old Kid President is out there again promoting a new message, education. “Its time to get our learn on,” Novak says in his latest video where he gives an uplifting pep talk to teachers and students about why learning is so important.
He asks the teachers and students “What are you teaching the world?” and “Who are you learning from?”
Every once in a while we need an uplifting reminder from Kid President to keep us in check. “Life is school and you gotta show up, you can’t just sleep, and you can’t just be late,” Novak said. “You wanna change the world, you gotta learn about it.” Delivered with the poise and charisma only Kid President can bring, he reminds us that no matter who we are there is always someone learning from us. This isn’t his first message about education. At the end of the 2013 school year, Novak released a video where along promoting opportunity to learn. Along with other children he spoke about the benefits of education.”I’m kid president and because I want to make the world awesome I made my way into the Oval office,” Novak said in the June video. “But grownups we need your help. Because not all kids have the same opportunity to learn.
