The Nevada Republican Party dropped its opposition to same-sex marriage and abortion on Saturday in an effort to become more inclusive, the Las Vegas Review Journal reported.
Platform leaders this year left out language they previously used to define marriage as between a man and a woman and to support pro-life choices.
They also endorsed current Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval for the upcoming primary election on June 10. Sandoval, along with Democratic Attorney General Catherine Cortez, in February gave up fighting to keep gay individuals from becoming married couples.
