A video produced by FreedomWorks, a Tea-Party-aligned advocacy group, included an oral sex scene between a fake Hillary Clinton and a fake panda, according to a report by Mother Jones.
The video was intended to be shown at a FreedomWorks conference for conservative activists last year, apparently as a joke, Mother Jones reports. But it was nixed after being screened for staff days before the event. Female interns played Clinton and the panda, the magazine reported.
“I don’t want to dignify that story with a response,” FreedomWorks spokeswoman Jackie Bodnar told msnbc.com via email. “We don’t comment on crazy allegations of disgruntled former staffers. Happy Valentine’s Day.”
The video is one potential subject of an internal FreedomWorks investigation into alleged mismanagement by its president, Matt Kibbe, Mother Jones adds.
FreedomWorks, based in Washington D.C., works to support and co-ordinate local Tea Party groups around the country.
Mother Jones reports: In one segment of the film, according to a former official who saw it, Brandon is seen waking from a nap at his desk. In what appears to be a dream or a nightmare, he wanders down a hallway and spots a giant panda on its knees with its head in the lap of a seated Hillary Clinton and apparently performing oral sex on the then-secretary of state. Two female interns at FreedomWorks were recruited to play the panda and Clinton. One intern wore a Hillary Clinton mask. The other wore a giant panda suit that FreedomWorks had used at protests to denounce progressives as panderers. (See here, here, and here.) Placing the panda in the video, a former FreedomWorks staffer says, was “an inside joke.” Mother Jones reports that the video was originally intended to air during FreePAC, a summer conference in Dallas last year where thousands of conservative activists gathered to hear from the likes of Glenn Beck and Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah. They say several FreedomWorks staff members were outraged when they were shown the video days before the event. You can read the full story in Mother Jones here.
