Mayors Against Illegal guns, the gun-control group led by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, has released a new tv ad calling for tighter gun control measures, the same day Vice President Biden will present his task force’s proposal to reduce gun violence to the president. NBC’s Peter Alexander reports that this meeting is one day ahead of the White House’s goal and the president is expected to announce more details later this week.
Families of victims appear in the ad, asking politicians to introduce and enforce gun reforms. “My son. My daughter. My dad. My brother. Was murdered with a gun. Murdered with a gun. It can happen to your child. Enough. Enough. Enough.”
