Looking to hush the onslaught of criticism from Republicans, the White House released more than 100 pages of emails on Wednesday detailing its response to the deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya last fall.
The Obama administration first handed over these documents to Congress as part of an investigation, but the White House unleashed them to the public under mounting pressure. Earlier in the week, President Obama called the fallout over these talking points a “sideshow.”
