First Word: Massive tornado rips through Oklahoma

A large and very powerful tornado ripped through an area outside of Oklahoma City on Monday, leveling parts of a neighborhood and crushing vehicles in its path. Oklahoma City police told NBC News the suburb of Moore suffered “major damage,” after it touched down. Aerial footage shows fields of rubble where homes once stood and buildings on fire. NBC station KFOR reported the tornado had debris cloud approximately 2-miles wide.
