There was a change to the lineup of the Washington Wizards at the start of Friday night’s game. The NBA team had added 13-year-old Nitin Ramachandran to the official roster.

Ramachandran, who is battling a form of brain cancer, was signed to a one-day contract, according to Sports Illustrated. Ramachandran was introduced as part of the starting line-up, warmed up with the team before the game and even took questions with coach Randy Wittman after the Wizards’ 110-107 double overtime win against their Southeast Division rivals, The Charlotte Hornets.
The team shared photos and videos on Twitter, Vine and other social media platforms of Ramachandran interacting with his teammates during warm-up and in the locker room.
The team tagged those posts with a special hashtag, #NitinsWizardsWish.
