During a speech in Cincinnati Thursday, Mitt Romney claimed “the policies the president put in place did not make America create more jobs.”
But Romney’s claim about jobs is demonstrably false. There’s been 27 consecutive months of private sector job growth:
The key to a Romney victory is convincing Americans they are worse off today than they were four years ago. Republicans hope this message resonates most strongly in the crucial swing states that will give one of the candidates the necessary 270 electoral votes:
The only problem for Republicans is the most crucial swing states are actually experiencing better economic fortunes than the rest of the country, including Ohio, Michigan and Virginia.
Meantime, the Obama team has released its first national radio ad aimed at African-Americans. Enthusiasm remains high for the president in the black community. The president has a sky-high job approval rating among African-Americans: The president easily beating Romney in a head to head match-up.
