Attention Washington D.C. tourists: get your cameras ready. The White House is going pink.
At 6 p.m. ET Thursday evening The White House North Portico along with the Naval Observatory anchor will be lit up in pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“Breast cancer touches every corner of the United States,” White House press secretary Jay Carney said at the Thursday press briefing. “In 2013 alone, more than 230,000 women and over 2,000 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and tens of thousands will die from this horrible disease.”
