Prince Harry has a confession to make!
As part of a new initiative marking World AIDS Day, Prince Harry is encouraging others to share a secret using the hashtag #FeelNoShame. His secret? He hates making public appearances and speeches.
“Believe it or not I get incredibly nervous before speaking, no matter how big the crowd or the audience,” Prince Harry said in a video released Monday. “Despite the fact that I laugh and joke all the time, I get incredibly nervous, if not anxious actually, before going into rooms filled with people when I am wearing a suit.”
The #FeelNoShame campaign is spearheaded by Sentebale, a charity Prince Harry co-founded in 2006 to support children in Lesotho who are affected by AIDS.
Prince Harry created the #FeelNoShame campaign to “turn this World AIDS day into a day which no one should feel any shame about their secrets,” he said in a video explaining the #FeelNoShame campaign. Appealing for support across the world, Prince Harry reminded everyone that “HIV is the second highest cause of death amongst those aged 10-19 years old and is the number 1 cause of death across Africa.” Several celebrities have joined the campaign including Nicole Scherzinger, Paloma Faith and Gemme Arterton.
