This week is shark week on Discovery. Nearly 30 million people tune in every year to check out the Great White Breaching all week. With this year being its 25 year anniversary, the Discovery Channel is featuring a special fight with shark attack survivors.
As many as 100 million sharks are killed by humans every year and now there is a group of shark-attack survivors who are fighting for the sharks.
Krishna Thompson joined the show today to talk about this fight and tell his story of how he lost his leg back in 2011 to a fatal run in with a shark. You can see his full episode Shark Fight this Saturday at 9pm and 11pm and Sunday at 2pm eastern on the Discovery Channels.
