Those selfies and food shots may start to look a bit stationary, Instagram has announced they are adding a video feature to its popular iPhone and Android apps.
The new feature allows users to capture video clips between three to 15-seconds long, apply a new set of filters, then share content through Instagram or other social media platform.
The video stream is in direct competition with Twitter’s Vine, which allows six-second long videos. Similar to Vine, the Instagram videos don’t have to be consecutive. Users can press down on the video icon to capture a frame, release the button to pause the video, adjust the shot, then start capturing again.
